This site was designed as an “experiment” in community social recruiting.
In true Best Buy fashion, we had an idea and several passionate people…so we just started building and took some action, like an entrepreneur would. To learn and grow our idea.
Our goal was to design a site that would provide information to MBA candidates – a place to get to know Best Buy better. Old methods, including information sessions, campus career fairs, etc., are that…”old”. We wanted to use technology – blogs, videos, linkedin, facebook, twitter – to connect with candidates and, in addition to providing information, provide a forum for interaction…a place where candidates could post questions, provide feedback, etc. That’s what we’ve built so far. We hope you find this site interesting and we hope you learn more about the great opportunities available in Finance at Best Buy.
Oh, and the “community” portion of this experiment is driven by the fact that a community of bloggers add content to this site, not just a single person. Each adds their own thoughts – providing interesting and relevant content for our readers!! And, most importantly, our community of readers can interact and provide content via comments and feedback. Thus, our community is creating this site and maintaining this site.
